Original music performance by students of the singer-songwriter program followed by a discussion of how giving students experiences to exercise their learning in a real-world setting is one of the best ways to teach and assess this newly academicized art. Courtney Kaiser-Sandler (pioneer of the program) will discuss this along with the curriculum, challenges, and changes spanning the last six years. There will be time for Q&A in order to help bridge her work with other interested instructors.
