How Do We Get (and Keep) More Girls in STEM?

The drop-off in students' interest in STEM subjects begins in elementary school and hits girls especially hard. By 8th grade, only half as many girls as boys are interested in STEM. In this session, we will discuss the need for creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills, and how we can engage girls and boys in STEM through invention based learning.
