The Rather Prize is a $10,000 prize given to the best idea to improve education in the state of Texas. Our session will consist of an opening discussion of great ideas in Texas education, led by journalist Dan Rather and his grandson, Martin. Subsequently, the winner announced at SXSW EDU last year, Katie Landaverde of Lake Dallas, will share updates on her proposal, followed by the announcement of this year's winner, a discussion of their idea, and an open Q&A with the audience.
