Summary

More than 10M students enroll at community colleges every year—nearly 50% of all undergraduates. Community colleges represent a massive audience and significant potential for edtech companies, investors, foundations and society. They also represent enormous human potential in every student that enrolls, 80% of whom have aspirations of a bachelor’s degree. While we often hear about supporting low-income students, the role of the community college in serving them is not always recognized. What is unique about community colleges and how can we spark more open innovation among community colleges, edtech companies, foundations and investors to benefit all stakeholders, starting with students?
