Summary

More and more, history museums are going digital—copying, scanning and reconstructing their expansive collections for posterity. Learn how augmented reality (AR) can give these newly digital artifacts a life beyond the confines of their physical homes. The use of augmented reality by museums can result in access of artifacts to the mass public regardless of their location and also results in the preservation of the artifact itself since it reduces physical handling.
