Summary

The Maker Movement is connecting students across America with new technologies and ways of learning that open doors to future careers. In 2016, the U.S. Department of Education called on schools across the country to submit makerspace plans. Working with over 600 schools and dozens of experts, they saw firsthand what it really takes to design and deploy a successful maker program. Join this session to learn from those involved in the Challenge and hear insights from the experts themselves: Albert Palacios (U.S. Department of Education), Kate Machtiger (30 Under 30: Education), Rafranz Davis (EdTech Expert), and Stephanie Santoso (Former White House OSTP).
