Great Expectations: Why High Standards Are Key to Success

We have a crisis of low expectations. Too many leaders and community members assume students are too far behind to catch up to pre-pandemic levels. Yet other state and city leaders have realized what’s needed is keeping the bar high and showing how targeted efforts, smart use of data, and high standards are making a difference and will be instrumental to future success.
