Courageous Leadership for & with the Solidarity Generation
Higher Ed has faced a tumultuous year. Our institutions dwell in the proverbial eye of the storm, rocked by competing winds: distrust, scholarly expertise, and media scrutiny. As leaders, are we guiding or hiding? Confronting the paralyzing fears sweeping through our campuses — fear of conflict, of backlash, of losing our moral compass in the noise of neutrality we must courageously support our students (who I call the Solidarity Generation) no matter the pressures. Let us reclaim the bold purpose of the academy: to educate not just minds, but also change-makers, leaders and even hearts.
