Higher Ed as Refuge for High Risk Individuals
Higher Ed in the US quickly made space to find placements for high-risk individuals fleeing their country. Universities around the country moved fast to create a soft landing and strong start for evacuees and subsequently found a direct path to diversify and globalize student and faculty bodies and their experiences. This was a crucial step to bring global voices to the campuses and do good in the world as well as foster professional development.
