Sarah Navarro

Sarah Navarro has over 15 years of experience in education, starting in central Florida, where she taught teens academic and life skills in a therapeutic wilderness program. She is currently the Head of Network Success at the XQ Institute, which aims to rethink the high school experience. Previously, she was Senior Deputy Chief at DC Public Schools, leading district-wide efforts to implement equitable policies and support secondary students. She has also served as principal of the Maya Angelou Young Adult Learning Center, a public charter school where she helped students earn credentials and access successful careers. Sarah is the founding Board Chair of Sojourner Truth Montessori Public Charter School. She holds a master’s in public policy from the University of Michigan.
