Jennifer Fox
Jennifer Fox, Ph.D. is the Director of Strategic Programs for Autodesk Research, where she leads teams that explore key research areas from AI to sustainability for Autodesk’s future growth. She brings her 30 years’ experience working with researchers and startups to her role as a business leader at Autodesk.
Jennifer has also served as Director and Chief of Staff for Autodesk’s Product, Design & Manufacturing and Platform & Technologies teams. She is a researcher and scientist by training, who received her PhD in Molecular & Cellular Biology. Before initially joining Autodesk in 2019, she spent a decade creating and running the Oregon Bioscience Incubator, a startup incubator for health tech companies.
Before re-joining Autodesk in her current role, she was Chief of Staff for Absci—an AI-biotech company that started in her health tech incubator. In her role as Absci’s Chief of Staff, she was instrumental in the business development and investor relations that led to Absci’s successful bid to go public in July 2021 (Nasdaq: ABSI). Jennifer’s driving passions are translating deep research into applied products and tools that improve lives and working with students, academics and startups in STEM fields to help bring their innovative ideas to life.
Dr. Fox is an active member of Oregon’s entrepreneurial community, having served on the board of directors for such organizations as the Oregon Bioscience Incubator, the Oregon Entrepreneur Network, Portland Community College Biotech Program and Portland Women in Science.
