JP Ortiz

JP Ortiz is a touring professional bass player and protege of Anthropos founder, Dylan Jones. Jones met and began working wth a then 14 year-old JP at Eastside Memorial HS in Austin, TX in 2011. His skills quickly grew to outshine his mentor's, and he played professionally for 10 years now. JP is a staple of our Mentor staff, helping teach/mentor younger students, many of whom are from the same neighborhood he grew up in.
