Roblin Webb

Roblin J. Webb, Founder and CEO of Freedom Prep Charter Schools, has dedicated her life to achieving equality through public education. She began her journey toward driving educational equity as a lawyer for a city school district. In 2009, she founded Freedom Prep with a class of 100 sixth graders. The network has since grown to six schools in Southwest Memphis, serving nearly 2,000 students, and recently expanded to Alabama. With a mission to close racial and economic achievement gaps, Roblin has built Freedom Prep into a model for transformative impact, achieving some of Tennessee’s highest academic growth scores from 2011 to 2019. She holds a law degree and a master’s in politics and public affairs from Rutgers University and a bachelor’s in urban studies from Rhodes College.
