Jack Stripling

Jack Stripling is a senior writer at The Chronicle of Higher Education and host of its podcast, College Matters from The Chronicle.

Jack, who joined The Chronicle in 2011, often writes about college leaders navigating crises, administrative palace intrigue, and the politics of the college presidency. He got his start covering higher education in 2003 as a beat reporter for the Opelika-Auburn News, where he wrote about Auburn University. Since then, he has written for The Gainesville Sun, where he covered The University of Florida; Inside Higher Ed; and The Washington Post, where he was an investigative reporter covering higher education.
