Alan Usherenko
Alan Usherenko is a special assistant for the North Ward leadership team in Newark Public Schools, where he supports 14 schools in driving instructional innovation and student success. With experience as both a teacher and administrator, he brings a deep understanding of classroom instruction, school leadership, and district-wide strategy.
Alan spearheads the district’s partnership with Khan Academy, an initiative that continues to transform AI-powered instruction in Newark schools. His leadership in instructional technology and AI in education has attracted visits from prominent figures like Bill Gates and led to interviews with various media outlets, including The New York Times, CBS News, and Good Morning America.
