Juanita Soranno
Juanita Soranno is the Head of Impact at Cengage where she leads workforce development strategy to drive positive economic impact. In this role, she focuses on building partnerships that address the evolving needs of the workforce, ensuring that individuals have access to the skills and training necessary for career success through innovative third-party funding. She collaborates with government & higher education institutions, non-profits, and foundations to drive economic equity through education. She is also the founder of CodeConnect, a 501(c)3 dedicated to increasing digital equity in underserved communities to create more informed citizens armed with digital literacy. As a result of her work, she was named a 2024 Clinton Global Fellow.
She received her MBA from UNC Chapel Hill Kenan-Flagler Business School, is a graduate of San Francisco State University’s College of Ethnic Studies and of the Rutgers Coding Boot Camp. Before her transition into EdTech, Juanita worked in consumer finance and private equity in NYC. She’s driven by a commitment to building community and fostering a culture of innovation and inclusion.
