My students call me Miss G!
I specialize in integrating Social Emotional Learning (SEL) into K-6 education and co-developed the Encinitas district’s SEL curriculum, known as the T.R.A.C. program, which serves over 5,000 students annually. As the 2023 Teacher of the Year at Mission Estancia Elementary, I’ve accumulated over 10,000 hours of SEL experience and lead workshops to equip educators with innovative strategies for fostering emotional literacy and character development. Inspired by L.R. Knost's philosophy, my work aims to cultivate compassionate, inclusive school environments where every child feels valued and empowered to make positive change.
