Joe Licata

Joe Licata is the Founder of Canyon GBS, an Arizona-based tech company building AI-powered solutions for education, government, and enterprises. With over 20 years of experience in technology management, Joe has led product teams at industry leaders such as Amazon and Cengage Learning, in addition to startups like Learning Objects and Mark43. On the institutional side, he held executive leadership positions specializing in academic technology at large institutions that served hundreds of thousands of students during his tenure. Joe also has faculty experience teaching business and management for several years. In 2022, Joe received the nationally recognized EDUCAUSE Rising Star award for his work in education. He holds a Juris Doctor degree, an MBA, and an MSc in Management.
