Omari Burnside
Omari Burnside is a Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, where he collaborates with organizations who provide equity-focused resources aimed at enhancing institutional student success efforts. Previously, Omari was the Assistant Vice President of Strategy and Practice at NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education, where he conducted original research and developed tools for initiatives like on-campus employment, advising, and basic need supports. Before NASPA, he worked at a non-profit consulting firm where he developed and delivered technical assistance to support state and institutional leaders on closing equity gaps. Omari holds degrees from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, George Washington University, and the University of Maryland.
