Kerry McKittrick
Kerry McKittrick is the Co-Director of the Harvard Project on Workforce, an interdisciplinary applied research project between the Harvard Kennedy School's Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy, the Harvard Business School’s Managing the Future of Work Project, and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. In this role, Kerry leads the Project’s strategy, policy, research, and partnership agenda, and spearheads initiatives focused on building better education pathways to economic mobility. She has co-authored multiple papers focused on postsecondary education, workforce training, and career navigation, and she speaks regularly about issues at the intersection of education and work.
Prior to joining the Project on Workforce, Kerry was a senior manager at Jobs for the Future, where she worked closely with the CEO and Chief of Staff to develop and oversee cross-organizational initiatives and partnerships. Before that, she served as a Senior Policy Advisor on education, labor, workforce development, and child welfare policy to Congressman Jim Langevin, co-chair of the bipartisan Career and Technical Education Caucus. She began her career in politics, as the successful campaign manager for Massachusetts State Representative Ken Gordon. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Brown University and a master’s degree in education policy and analysis from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, where she was distinguished as a Leadership in Education Fellow.
