Dr. Lori Koerner
Dr. Lori Koerner has recently retired after a fulfilling and successful 34-year career in the field of education to focus on expanding her work in educational leadership, writing, and motivational speaking.
Throughout her career, Dr. Koerner has been dedicated to educating and inspiring both children and adults. She spent the first 26 years as an elementary school teacher, having taught every grade, before transitioning to leadership roles as an elementary school principal and assistant superintendent of schools in public districts on Long Island, New York.
A Fulbright Specialist Scholar, Dr. Koerner has contributed to global education initiatives and served as an adjunct professor of special education at several universities in New York. Her work and research have focused on educating the whole child, emphasizing the importance of fostering students’ social competencies and emotional well-being to help them reach their maximum academic potential.
A proud mother of four and a passionate advocate for children, Dr. Koerner has authored several books and numerous articles for national magazines. Her writing addresses paradigm shifts necessary for 21st-century learning, including her acclaimed work, *Navigating the SEAs: Fostering Social, Emotional, and Academic Success for All Children - by Navigating These Cs: Communication, Collaboration, Cooperation, Cultivating Curiosity, and Conflict Resolution*.
Dr. Koerner has presented at national and international conferences on innovative education practices. She continues to inspire educators, families, and communities through her motivational speaking engagements, with a vision to lead transformative conversations that shape the future of education and society.
