Sophia Mendoza

Sophia Mendoza led the expansion of equitable and accessible Computer Science (CS) Education across grades P-12, as well as the design and delivery of 21st-century professional learning opportunities to over 300 educators district-wide. She has established and maintained high-profile partnerships across public and private sectors that support the district's instructional technology vision, such as the California Emerging Technology Fund, Google, and Microsoft. She serves as a board member of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), and to have received multiple awards and recognitions for her work in advancing instructional technology and CS education. Previously she has been a principal and administrative coordinator as well.
