Enid Rey

BIOGRAPHY
Enid M. Rey, Esq. has more than twenty years of innovative, visionary leadership and achievement in the philanthropic, legal, government and non-profit sectors. A skilled advocate, her areas of success and expertise help to bridge policy, protocols, process, and quality practice to affect change and results for children, youth and families. Fluent in Spanish and English, with extensive public speaking and media-relations experience, her work in education was featured in the 2015 This American Life episode on school integration, “The Problem We All Live With.” Enid’s work is centered on the values and belief that youth and families are resident experts in their conditions and have the knowledge and capacity needed to build transformative action for their own communities. A lawyer and community advocate by training and vocation, she has held high level leadership roles in various sectors including local and state government, philanthropy, education, as a non-profit CEO and as a special consultant to the National Administration for Children and Families, as part of a specialized team of partners supporting the safe and rapid unification of unaccompanied minors crossing into the borderlands of the United States. Enid holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & Latin American Literature from Mount Holyoke College (South Hadley, MA); Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law (Hartford, CT); and is an Annie E. Casey Foundation Advance Results Count Practitioner and graduate of the foundation’s Children and Families Fellowship. BRAVE works at the intersection of community and systems to strengthen:
