Salma Baksh

Salma Baksh is a first year student at Smith College from Queens, NY. Motivated by the lack of a space to engage in thoughtful discussion about politics, Salma founded a civic discourse and engagement club at their high school called Youth Informed. Last spring, they worked with a team of teen journalists to produce P.S. Weekly, a student-led podcast on the NYC public school system. Salma plans to double-major in Government and Education.
