Bernie Carmona

Bernie Carmona is a high school senior at The Beacon School in Manhattan, New York. He is a reporting intern for The Bell, where he recently helped produce Season 1 of P.S. Weekly, a student-reported podcast about issues in the NYC education system created in collaboration with Chalkbeat New York. Previously, he published an episode about inequities in arts access for The Bell’s Miseducation Podcast. Additionally, Bernie is a member of The Bronx Documentary Center, where he works on photojournalism projects and engages with community members about social justice issues in the South Bronx.
