Lorne Rodriguez

As the Digital Learning Design and Instructional GenAI Manager at Chicago Public Schools (CPS), Lorne leads the design, development, and maintenance of the district’s Digital Learning Environment (DLE) based on Universal Design for Learning, accessibility, user experience/user interface design (UX/UI), and cognitive load reduction. The DLE is the backbone for Skyline, CPS’ first-of-its-kind, standards-based, culturally responsive curriculum, which is free for all teachers and students to use throughout the district. In his role, Lorne engages district stakeholders to effectively guide the implementation of the instructional GenAI strategy, and has supported CPS in the development and distribution of the CPS AI Guidebook to provide guidance on the use and implementation of AI.
