Akisha Osei Sarfo

Akisha Osei Sarfo, Ph.D., is the Director of Research for the Council of Great City Schools, where she guides research and data use in urban education. With expertise in program evaluation, research design, race and equity, and education policy, she supports Council districts. Previously, Akisha was Chief Performance Officer at Guilford County Schools, where she led Accountability, Research, and Planning. Her team won Harvard’s Excellence in Education Data award. She has also worked at Bellwether Education Partners, the University of Delaware, and various state and federal agencies. She holds degrees from the University of Michigan and the University of Delaware.
