Kim Lessing is the Co-President of Film & Television at Paper Kite Productions. This full-service entertainment company produces content for traditional and non-linear platforms. The company, founded by Amy Poehler, has an overall deal with Universal Television.

Lessing joined Paper Kite Productions in 2015, working as a producer and executive producer across several projects. She serves as executive producer, alongside Amy Poehler and Pharrell Williams, on Amazon’s critically acclaimed series Harlem. Lessing also executive produced Adult Swim’s WGA award-winning series Three Busy Debras.

In addition to her television credits, Lessing produced the Netflix feature film Moxie as well as the critically acclaimed comedy special, Natalie Palamides: Nate - A One Man Show. Lessing is also developing several other Paper Kite Productions projects, including an animated feature for Netflix called Steps and series for Apple called The Donor.

In 2024, Lessing and her Paper Kite counterpart, Kate Arend, launched a podcast called Million Dollar Advice. The podcast, under Audacy Podcasts and the Paper Kite Podcasts banner, is a weekly show offering work and career advice.

Lessing began her career in New York working for UTA and Comedy Central. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
