Emily Jassen

Emily Janssen has been a part of national nonprofit StoryCorps’ “corps” for more than a decade. As the Director of Learning & Engagement, Emily oversees programs, partnerships, and online training resources to help people of all ages and backgrounds cultivate their curiosity, practice listening, and contribute to the historical record. She collaborates with organizations and educators to bring StoryCorps stories, skills, and methods into classrooms and communities across the country. During her tenure at StoryCorps, she has facilitated, recorded, and archived over 500 conversations, and trained thousands of others to do the same.
