Kapil Dhingra

Dr. Kapil Dhingra is a board-certified Emergency Physician for The Permanente Medical Group and serves as the Physician-in-Chief and Chief of Staff for the Kaiser Permanente San Leandro Medical Center, where he oversees clinical operations, quality, safety, and finances. As Chief of Staff, he represents the voice of clinicians and ensures alignment with the organization’s mission and vision.

Additionally, he serves on the TPMG Board of Directors, and as Chair of the Benefits and Compensation Committee.

Dr. Dhingra was recently elected to the Asian Pacific Fund (APF) Advisory Council to support APF’s mission. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the American Red Cross, Bay Area Chapter.

Dr. Dhingra received his BA in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MD/MBA from Tulane University. He completed his residency training at the University of California, Davis and Kaiser Permanente Emergency Medicine Residency Program
