Andrew Hock
A progressive educator for more than 20 years, Andy started as a theater teacher, then taught multiple subjects and served as the Dean of Students at a project-based arts high school for 10 years. Currently, he supports teachers in a mid-sized school district and is helping to develop cutting-edge programming at the Center for Applied Learning and Community Impact. Andy is an expert in restorative practices and is a vocal advocate for equity in education. The proud father of two kids, Andy also pursues disc golf, paddle boarding, backpacking and bouldering; all of these have taught him to embrace his failures as opportunities to learn, and that the best stuff happens when he is present and receptive in the current moment.
