Sara Poirier

Sara is an education consultant for children’s media specializing in developmentally appropriate climate change content. She has worked on more than a dozen online games and TV shows, including Sesame Street’s Go Green, Cyberchase’s Duck Dodge, Galapagos X, and Interstellar Ella. In 2017, Sara co-produced When I Grow Up!, a show about different jobs that use science, technology, engineering, and math. In 2022, she was invited to present at the National Science Foundation’s Design & Discover Forum on Climate Science, Children, and the Media. Before consulting, Sara worked as the staff astronomer at the Ontario Science Centre where she developed educational programs and exhibits for the public. Sara holds a BSc. in Astrophysics and an MSc. in Science Communication.
