Sara Poirier

Sara is an education consultant for children’s media specializing in developmentally appropriate climate change content. She has worked on more than a dozen online games and TV shows, including Sesame Street’s Go Green, Cyberchase’s Duck Dodge, Galapagos X, and Interstellar Ella. In 2017, Sara co-produced When I Grow Up!, a show about jobs that use science, technology, engineering, and math. She presented at the National Science Foundation’s Design & Discover Forum on Climate Science, Children, and the Media, and is a contributor to an upcoming Handbook for Climate Change Education with Spring/Nature Publishing. Before consulting, Sara worked at the Ontario Science Center developing educational programs and exhibits. Sara holds a BSc. in Astrophysics and an MSc. in Science Communication.
