Shadae Harris
Dr. Shadae Harris, previously the Chief Engagement Officer at Richmond Public Schools, earned national recognition for her significant contribution to reducing chronic absenteeism by nearly 20% during her tenure. Previously, Dr. Harris served as an elementary school principal, and she began her career as a 4th grade teacher. She holds a Master's degree in Learning and Teaching as well as a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, both from Harvard University. Dr. Harris leads Groundwork Consulting, where she assists districts and organizations nationwide in developing robust engagement systems. Additionally, she is a distinguished Professor in Residence at Virginia State University and a founding faculty member of the VSU Engagement Institute.
