Jaria Jaug

Jaria Jaug is the youngest woman and first openly queer Berryessa Union School District Board Trustee. Elected in 2021, she has successfully advocated for millions of dollars in school funding - bringing a new gym and low-flow toilets to Berryessa schools. She continues to spearhead inclusive and progressive policies like implementing all gender restrooms and LGBTQ+ storytelling at all school sites. Additionally, she serves as the Associate Director of Care Policy at Working Partnerships USA, leading initiatives to secure childcare for all and improve healthcare equity through various campaigns and coalitions.
