Elaine Zavala

Elaine Zavala is the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance Director at the Texas Veterans Commission, which serves as the state appointed advocate of Texas veterans as they attempt to secure benefits earned in exchange for their service. She was appointed to the State Employee Charitable Campaign Advisory Committee in 2017 to advise the state policy committee in adopting rules and establishing procedures for the campaign. Elaine is also a member of the Texas State Set-Aside Committee for the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program, which allocates federal FEMA funds for food and shelter. She also serves as President of the American Society of Public Administration’s Central Texas Chapter. The chapter is dedicated to advancing the teaching of public and nonprofit administration.
