Lumas Codrington

Lumas Codrington is an undergraduate student at UC Merced. Lumas is passionate about student accessibility and equity. Lumas is on the CAST UDL Guidelines 3.0 Youth Advisory Board that aims to inform the updating of the UDL Guidelines. As a member of this CAST UDL Guidelines 3.0 board, Lumas shared ideas for how to create more equitable learning environments through the dimensions of race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, socioeconomic background, language, disability, and/or citizenship and nationality. She continues to work and advocate for students with disabilities and any other student who needs support. At her local school district, she is currently creating an African American STEAM program for students to have a safe, inclusive, and enriching learning environment.
