Laura Santare
Laura Santare is a Geologist, turned Teacher, turned Informal Educator. After earning an MS in Geology, Laura began her teaching career in Brooklyn as a "subject expert", teaching middle school science. Her teaching career subsequently took her to Denver for several years, finally returning East to teach in Camden, NJ. After 9 years as a middle school science teacher, Laura decided to take the leap out of the classroom and take on a position at her favorite childhood museum: The Franklin Institute. As Curriculum and Training Specialist at TFI, Laura has been able to continue impacting young scientists by developing curriculum for TFI's numerous local and national programs. Her greatest pleasure, however, is working with educators to develop resources and PD that truly meets their needs.
