Emily Kotecki

Emily Kotecki is the founder and principal of High Beam Strategies, a consulting firm specializing in digital learning strategy, content development, and research. She has worked with clients ranging from the Smithsonian and Monterey Bay Aquarium to city art museums and regional history centers. Emily hosted and produced the Microsoft’s Libraries and Museums Podcast, Microsoft’s Ideate: Rethinking Data and AI in Education, and her own show, Museum Buzz. She is helping to build a core learning community for Smithsonian educators with the Office for the Under Secretary of Education. An adjunct professor at Bank Street College of Education, Emily holds a master’s in museum education from The George Washington University and a bachelor’s in broadcast journalism from American University.
