Elizabeth Chu
Liz is Executive Director of CPRL and Senior Research Scholar and Lecturer of Law at Columbia Law School. She oversees CPRL’s operations and strategy with a focus on building the capacity of current and aspiring education sector leaders. Liz has deep expertise in system-wide transformation, participatory democracies, evidence-based instructional materials and professional learning, and educator workforce governance. Her work has appeared in numerous publications including American Journal of Education, Education Week, Learning Forward, and Forbes. Before CPRL, Liz was a professor at Relay Graduate School of Education. She began her career as a high school teacher in the Bronx. She holds a Ph.D. in education policy from Columbia University and an M.S. in teaching secondary English.
