Sarah Johnson

Dr. Sarah Johnson is the CEO of Teaching Lab, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming teacher professional learning for educational equity. She joined Teaching Lab in 2018 from the Overdeck Family Foundation, where she managed investments to improve teaching and learning nationwide. Sarah also held leadership roles at the NYCDOE, working with the Deputy Chancellor of Teaching and Learning and overseeing policy for the city's teacher development and evaluation system, serving over 70,000 teachers. She began her career as a science teacher and founder of a social justice student leadership program. Sarah graduated from the EdLD program at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, has an M.A.T. from American University, and a B.S. in Neuroscience from Emory University.
