Katie Boody Adorno

A native of Kansas City, Leanlab Education founder and CEO Katie Boody Adorno has worked in public education in KCMO since 2008. Seemingly always involved in the "startup" phase of organizations, Katie was a founding member of two Kansas City middle schools as a math teacher and instructional coach before founding Leanlab as an an accelerator. With Leanlab evolved to a codesign research organization, Katie co-founded the Global Edtech Trialing Network. She holds a M.Ed. in Middle School Education, and an Ed.S. in Education Leadership. She is interested in exploring the unique intersections of education, creativity, community building, and entrepreneurship to address pressing issues in K12 education while centering students and educators.
