Heather Malin

Heather Malin, PhD is a leading researcher and consultant in youth purpose development and education. As the senior director of research for the Stanford University Center on Adolescence, she conducted field-defining studies of youth purpose development. She is the author of "Teaching for Purpose: Preparing Students for Lives of Meaning". Dr. Malin serves as an advisor and consultant for purpose learning organizations, including Open Future Institute, Wayfinder, nXu, and Future Coach. Her career in developmental psychology and education spans over 20 years, during which she taught art, led professional development workshops for teachers, evaluated education programs, and mentored pre-service teachers in the Stanford Teacher Education Program.
