Empathy inEquity: Navigating an Anti-DEI Literary Landscape
Utilizing an in-convo format, Brittany Hogan, a former public school educator and school board member and current educational equity consultant, and Nic Stone, a #1 New York Times bestselling author known for writing teachable fiction that addresses systemic inequities in the US, will discuss their personal experiences with anti-DEI attitudes, policies, and legislature, and how why/how, to truly be of service to students, we must continue to push for historical accuracy in curriculums, access to representative literature in schools and libraries, and empathy-driven educational spaces.
