Amy Bandlien Storkel

Amy is best known for directing the Emmy Award winning documentary The Pez Outlaw (SXSW 2022) and for producing the Netflix Original film Bitconned (2024). Amy recently wrapped up her debut as showrunner for a true-crime anthology series called Smugshot. Previously, Amy has been on the producing team for several other award-winning films including The Legend of Cocaine Island (Netflix), Alabama Snake (HBO), and the ESPN 30-for-30 film The Bad Boy of Bowling. At SXSW 2024, Amy is an EP on the documentary spotlight feature, Dickweed, and she is one of the producers on the Reading Rainbow documentary, Butterfly in the Sky, premiering at SXSW EDU, and releasing in AMC Theaters after the festival.
