Danielle Ongart

Danielle Ongart is the Executive Director of the Student Pathways Unit at the Colorado Department of Education (CDE), which focuses on whole child, whole family and whole community supports that are critical to student success. Prior to CDE, Danielle was an Obama Administration political appointee at the US Department of Education where she developed Every Student Succeeds Act guidance and regulations, created a student diversity grant program and oversaw the distribution of $1 billion in federal funds. Danielle began her work in education as a middle school teacher in New York City, and then developed the Denver Public Schools’ LEAP teacher evaluation system. She holds a B.A. in Radio/TV/Film from Northwestern University and an M.S. in Teaching from Pace University.
