Gerry Gonzalez

Gerardo “Gerry” Gonzalez is a high school Social Studies educator from Chicago Public Schools. In this role, he helped pilot the AP Capstone program at Lane Tech College Prep High School in 2014. He has continued leading this program at the school level, mentoring over 500 students in AP Seminar and AP Research for the past 9 years. At the district level, he provides leadership for the continued expansion of AP Capstone within Chicago Public Schools by training and mentoring new teachers in the program. He also trains new teachers across the country by serving as a College Board consultant for AP Seminar and AP Research for the past 7 years.
