Stephanie Hawley

Dr. Hawley is a veteran P-20 educator, administrator, organizational development consultant, and diversity, equity and inclusiveness strategist who has served as Austin ISD’s inaugural equity officer since 2019. Previous to her appointment at the school district, she served as Associate Vice President of Equity and Inclusion at Austin Community College. In her current position as Chief Equity Officer at Austin ISD, Stephanie works in collaboration with senior leaders, staff and community members to promote systemic change to support equitable outcomes for underserved student groups. She also leads work that supports leadership development for anti-racism and inclusiveness, community engagement, and research-based practices to disrupt practices and policies.
