Arati Singh

Arati (pronounced “Arthy”) Singh is the President of the Austin ISD school board and the first Asian-American elected to this body. She was re-elected as an at-large trustee in November 2022. Arati started her career as a bilingual fourth grade teacher in the Rio Grande Valley, and for 20 years has been a program evaluator for National Science Foundation, NASA, and Department of Education grants focusing on STEM pathways, workforce development, and college access. She worked for a Washington, DC-based firm before launching her own consulting business, Raise Achievement, LLC in 2011. Arati has a BA in Psychology and minor in Spanish from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and an MS in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Texas at Austin.
