Ron Self

Ron Self is a dedicated professional with more than 23 years of experience. Self began his career in 1999 serving as a police officer with the Jonesboro Police Department and then as the Director of Security for the Blytheville School District. In August 2015, he was selected as Director of Security for the Little Rock School District. In this position, he is responsible for the safety and security of over 22,000 students and more than 3,000 employees. He has a Bachelor’s degree from Arkansas Tech University in Emergency Management, a Master’s degree in Disaster Preparedness from Arkansas State University, and is finishing up his Specialist in Educational Leadership from Arkansas Tech University.
