Jeremiah Sims

Dr. Jeremiah J. Sims, co-founder and principal consultant for Rooted in Love, LLC., is the author of The white educators’ guide to equity (2023), Minding the Obligation Gap (2020), and Revolutionary STEM Education (2018). Jeremiah is a Race, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice (REIJ) executive coach, trainer, speaker, and educator.

Jeremiah uses a radical love-centered approach to create safe spaces, predicated on radical inclusivity, where anyone—irrespective of where they are on their equity journey—can engage in justice work.

Jeremiah is an alum of the University of California, Berkeley where he earned a B.A., in Rhetoric with honors. Jeremiah also earned an M.A., and Ph.D., in Education: Language, Literacy, and Culture, from the University of California, Berkeley.
